Become a Member of Australia's premier racing club.

Restricted Membership 

Upon approval of your application, you will be offered Restricted Membership.

Benefits include:

  • Admission to all Flemington racemeetings
  • Access to the Members' Enclosure at all Flemington racemeetings excluding AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days
  • Access to The Nursery, The Domain and The Rails during the Melbourne Cup Carnival
  • Young Members' Events and promotions (for Members aged 18-35 years)
  • Special events and promotions exclusive to VRC Members
  • Automatic participation in the exclusive Membership Loyalty Program, Racing Rewards
  • Access to additional Members' Enclosure guest tickets on all days excluding AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days
  • Optional Members' Unreserved Car Park Pass to Flemington racemeetings excluding AAMI Victoria Derby and Emirates Melbourne Cup Days
  • Reciprocal privileges at the Melbourne Cricket Club and Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club

Waiting period

It is not possible to estimate exactly how long a Restricted Member will have to wait before being offered Full Membership.

Applicants are advised that financial Restricted Members who applied for Membership between 1 July 2008 and 30 September 2009 have been elevated to Full Membership for the current 2012/13 Racing Season.

The next elevation will occur in May 2013 for the 2013/14 Racing Season.

Applying and nomination process

To be nominated, a person must be proposed and seconded by current Full Financial VRC Members. A nomination fee of $20* is required with all applications.

All applications are presented before the Chairman and Directors of the Victoria Racing Club for approval at nominated meeting dates. Upon approval, a subscription notice will be forwarded to you. 

Restricted Membership fees

The VRC is currently offering Restricted Membership at the pro-rata rate of $130*.

There is the option to purchase a Restricted Guest Card for $115* and a Restricted Car Pass for $30*.

The entrance fee is $726* and may be paid in four annual installments or as a one-off total payment. The entrance fee is additional to the annual Membership subscription fee.
